Installation of the peace dove in ARBING – the founding site of the Jerusalem Way!

A particularly moving moment took place on June 28, 2025!

 

A handmade [item] was unveiled in the village square in front of the parish church of Arbing as part of an international peace march. Jerusalem Way peace dove made of stainless steel ceremonially erected – at the historical founding site of the Jerusalem Way in Arbing. A powerful symbol of peace, unity, and hope.

 

A strong signal for peace was sent by around 150 pilgrims from the region, from various Austrian federal states, as well as participants from five other countries (Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Switzerland, Italy) at the inter-municipal pilgrimage day.

 

Under the motto "Pilgrimage for Peace / Pilgrims of Hope" The route led from Schwertberg via Naarn to Arbing (22 km) – with families, young people and even an 85-year-old pilgrim along the way.


HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY

As a festive conclusion, the event took place at 17:00 PM. Jerusalem Way Dove of Peace in Arbing erected – that special place where in The Jerusalem Way was founded in 2010. was (see here Route & GPS from Arbing on the Jerusalemweg).

 

The Arbing music band and a Children's choir provided musical accompaniment for the ceremony and awarded the The young generation's hope for peace one voice – a powerful symbol of intergenerational commitment to remembrance and reconciliation.
