Historic moment after 15 years – Pilgrim reaches Syria on foot on the Jerusalem Way

In May 2026, for the first time in many years, a pilgrim, Sabine Struck, was able to enter Syria on the JERUSALEM WAY / AL-QUDS WAY in an individual case.

This is a cautious glimmer of hope, but it does not represent a general opening, a regular release, or a recommendation for passage.
