Every journey begins with a first step ...

The Jerusalem Way stands for mutual recognition and tolerance.

Below is a sample GPS stage from NORTH MACEDONIA.

From the travel diary: North Macedonia greets us with scorching heat and with Skopje we reach Mother Teresa's birthplace. From there we hike up and down on dusty roads, over vineyards and through the magnificent and fertile valley of the Vardar.

We attended the service on Sunday August 8, 2010 in the Catholic church of SKOPJE, which was held by the local bishop. Then we were blessed by the bishop in German!

On leaving this HERZ-JESUS-CHURCH we met 2 sisters from the order of the 'Missionaries of Charity', which had been founded by Mother TERESA. After a brief explanation of our pilgrimage to Jerusalem, the two sisters suddenly took their Mother Teresa medal from the rosary, kissed it, and each gave David and me a medal (Otto was not present at the time). It was a very touching moment for me and obviously also for David, we both got tears .. THANKS!
