Description

A stage in the Dept. Gers is ahead of us today. We hike through vineyards and across meadows, but sometimes also along main roads. As we slowly get to the lowest point in the valley between the Pyrenees and the Central Massif, the terrain is quite flat. The consequence of this is that the waters we encounter are mostly "standing waters". The stage town of Eauze is the capital of the Armagnac, and some will think of the famous brandy first. Well-preserved town houses and the Saint-Luperc church are invitations for a stroll through the city.
