The Jerusalem Way, founded in 2010, is the longest peace path and pilgrimage route in the world!
The route goes from the end of Europe in Finisterre to the beginning in Jerusalem. It brings together different religions, nations and cultures in an extraordinary peace project and stands for mutual recognition, tolerance and appreciation of different ways of life. There are now almost 6000 members in the Facebook group - They come from over 100 different countries around the world and all continents are represented!!
Dear peace pilgrims,
We look back on a turbulent year 2023. A year that put every person's belief in peace on earth to the test and caused the earth to shake, sometimes literally and sometimes physically. The road to a peaceful world seems long.
When Johannes, Otto and David set off back then (2010), they also had a long way to go to their destination Jerusalem. But the goal was achievable. Even if the path to peace was the actual goal. Today the goal of Jerusalem seems unattainable. What about the path to peace as a goal?
We hope that more and more people will be inspired by the courage of the three men and make the path to peace their goal. Even if the goal of Jerusalem currently seems physically difficult to reach, we are convinced that everyone can follow their own path to peace. We would like to invite you to go within yourself and see where steps towards peace are possible in my environment, where internal wars can be resolved. The same certainly applies here: even the first step of the journey can be a goal.
