Heart of Europe: Switzerland & Austria
Hiking & Culture from the French border in Geneva through all of Switzerland and Austria to the federal capital Vienna. This is the third of a total of seven stages on the international Peace and Culture Route between Spain and the Holy Land! Discover with us the greatest cultural and natural highlights, compact and with plenty of time to relax! Personally selected hotels, monasteries, and pilgrim accommodations, continuous travel support from the Jerusalem Way Team, and our tour bus provide the perfect setting for this.
This stage on the Jerusalem Way is truly unique between Spain and the Holy Land: it leads us through the entire Alps and the heart of Europe! We start in France and cross the border into Switzerland on foot near Geneva, traverse all of Switzerland, with breathtaking mountain and lake landscapes awaiting us, hike past the myths to Maria Einsiedeln Monastery, cross the Arlberg in Austria, and discover the extremely charming cultural and historical highlights of the Alpine country from west to east to the federal capital Vienna. To conclude, we even receive the original Jerusalem Way stamp with a dove of peace for our pilgrim passport in St. Stephen’s Cathedral – a unique journey comes to an end here, in the heart of Europe!
