Le Puy-en-Velay – Saint-Julien-Chapteuil

From Le Puy-en-Velay, the route goes via Brives-Charensac and crosses the Loire. The Jerusalem Way then climbs through the volcanic landscape of the Velay. Fields, forests, basalt formations and small villages accompany the path to Saint-Julien-Chapteuil. This shorter stage gradually leaves the major pilgrimage town of Le Puy behind and leads back into a quiet, rural setting.
