Gallipoli – Dardanelles – Çanakkale – Troy

At the Dardanelles, the Jerusalem Way crosses the historical threshold from Europe to Asia. The crossing is made by ferry. The Hellespont is associated with Xerxes, Alexander the Great, and many later military campaigns; the pilgrimage route offers a peaceful movement in contrast to this history. Via Çanakkale, the route reaches Troy. This UNESCO World Heritage site combines archaeological history with one of Europe’s most influential narratives.
