Croatia/Serbia Border – Bačka Palanka – Ilok – Novi Sad – Sremski Karlovci – Belgrade

From the northern border region, the Jerusalem Way leads through the vast Vojvodina to Bačka Palanka. There, the route crosses the Danube to the Croatian city of Ilok and then returns to Serbia. Passing through Novi Sad with its mighty Petrovaradin Fortress, the path reaches Sremski Karlovci. The Chapel of Peace commemorates the Peace of Karlowitz from 1699. Afterwards, the Jerusalem Way continues to Belgrade, to the fortress and Kalemegdan, overlooking the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.
