Beaumont – SWITZERLAND – Geneva
From Beaumont, the final French stage leads across the border into Switzerland and into the greater Geneva area. The landscape becomes increasingly urban before reaching the historic old town and the Saint-Pierre Cathedral. After roughly 1,120 kilometers through France, Geneva marks a significant transition: the French pilgrimage landscapes lie behind us, and the route now continues along Lake Geneva through Switzerland. At the same time, the stream of pilgrims that was still omnipresent in Spain becomes increasingly smaller.
