Ceremonial opening of the JERUSALEM WAY OF THE MONASTERIES: Setting up the Dove of Peace and walking the pilgrimage together! This Jerusalem Way feeder route was opened on Sat, June 25, 2022 with an interfaith ceremony, and the large Dove of Peace, handcrafted from stainless steel, was ceremonially unveiled.
Several religious representatives offered blessing prayers! For Judaism, Rabbi Dr. Dannyel Morag; for Islam, Imam Faouzi Slama; for the Anglican Church, Pastor Dr. Elisabeth Ring; for the Protestant Church, Ulrike Köhler. Afterwards, they all, together with patron MEP Monika Hohlmeier, Abbess M. Laetitia Fech, town priest Dr. Thomas Vogl, First Mayor Bernd Sommer, District Administrator Roland Grillmeier and Jerusalem Way initiator Johannes Aschauer, unveiled the Dove of Peace. Alongside many distinguished guests, many pilgrims from Germany and abroad came to take part in the ceremony and the joint pilgrimage hike in the Stiftland region. Thank you all so much!
