We begin in France at the foot of the Pyrenees in the pilgrim stronghold of St.-Jean-Pied-de-Port, and traverse all of France, starting from the Pyrenees, through the Massif Central, to the foothills of the Alps, where we eventually cross the border into Switzerland on foot near Geneva.

Fascinating landscapes, mountains, river valleys, and lakes from Lake Geneva all the way to the global metropolis of Vienna, which is also the largest city on the Danube!
