Belgrade – Ljig – Čačak – Kraljevo – Žiča Monastery

From Belgrade, the Jerusalem Way leads south through Central Serbia and the hilly landscape of Šumadija. Via Ljig and Čačak, the route reaches the Kraljevo area and Žiča Monastery. This significant Orthodox monastery was a spiritual center of medieval Serbia and is closely linked to the coronation of Serbian kings. This long section leads from the big city into an increasingly rural and monastic landscape.
