Bethany – Lazarus’ Tomb – Checkpoint – Bethphage – Mount of Olives – Jerusalem / Church of the Holy Sepulchre

From Bethany, the final section passes by Lazarus’ Tomb and leads through a politically and humanly sensitive checkpoint area to Bethphage. Crossing the Mount of Olives, the great view of Jerusalem opens up for the first time – that moment the entire route is geared towards. The descent leads to the Old City and to the destination at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Jerusalem is the meeting point of Judaism, Christianity and Islam, and at the same time an invitation not only to ask for peace, but to live it yourself as a bridge between people.
