Kavala – Maroneia / Ismaros – Porto Lagos / Agios Nikolaos – Alexandroupoli

East of Kavala, the Jerusalem Way follows the Thracian coast through olive groves, quiet villages, and landscapes with little tourism. Maroneia and the Ismaros area are already linked to Homeric tales and form a cultural bridge to Troy. Near Porto Lagos and the Vistonida Lagoon lies the Agios Nikolaos Monastery, built on stilts, a special place between water and sky. Across coastal and lagoon landscapes, the route reaches Alexandroupoli with its lighthouse visible from afar.
