On the Jerusalem Way in Syria: In December 2010 – a few months before the war began – we walked through the entire country from north to south.Coming from Turkey, the route leads via Aleppo, Hama, Homs, Maaloula and Damascus to Jordan.
We consciously remember the great hospitality and helpfulness that the people in Syria showed us. And now on December 8, 2024, events unfolded rapidly! Since then, we have been watching Syria with anticipation and hope that this was a step towards democracy – that lasting peace can succeed! Peace is the hope that dwells in war.
