The Dutch feeder route of the Jerusalem Way begins at the Dam in Amsterdam. Following existing long-distance hiking trails, dike landscapes, river valleys, and historic cities, the route leads south to Cologne Cathedral. There, it merges into the Jerusalem Way of the Kings. This section makes the great departure visible: from a European trading and port city out onto a path that leads step by step to Jerusalem.
