JERUSALEM WAY International Peace Team
The association JERUSALEM WAY International Peace Team operates according to clearly defined structures and transparent decision-making processes. Governance follows the statutes as amended on November 24, 2025.
1. Structure
The organisational structure includes:
- General Assembly – the highest body with all full members
- Board – manages day-to-day operations
- Expert advisory boards & international coordinators
- Scientific Committee

2. General Assembly
As the highest body, the General Assembly decides on:
- Election and discharge of the Board
- Amendments to the statutes
- fundamental association matters
In addition, an annual member information session (general meeting) takes place. Members who are not present receive the documents by email.
3. Board
The Board manages the association’s day-to-day business. It has a quorum if at least 60 % of the members are present or connected digitally. Resolutions can also be adopted electronically.

The secretary position was newly appointed by resolution of the General Assembly on November 24, 2025.
4. Scientific Committee
The Scientific Committee provides expert support for the Jerusalem Way in the areas of pilgrimage research, peace education, cultural studies, theology, and European cultural routes. An overview of the members can be found in the organisational chart .
5. International cooperation
The Jerusalem Way is represented in 19 countries and works along the route with municipalities, universities, NGOs, cultural institutions, and partner organisations. In addition, the association supports House of Hope partners who provide pilgrims with orientation and accommodation.
6. Transparency
Members are informed annually about activities, financial overview, and annual planning – both at the general meeting and by email.
