It connects people and countries on a path of encounter, dialogue, and peace \u2013 from Finisterre on the Atlantic, across Europe and the Middle East, to Jerusalem, the City of Peace. <\/p>\n
The route was first fully explored on foot in <\/span>2010 by Johannes Aschauer<\/b> together with two companions \u2013 across more than 15 countries to Jerusalem.<\/p>\n Vision: <\/span>“The Way connects \u2013 across borders, cultures, and religions.”<\/i><\/p>\n To coordinate peace, cultural, and educational work at an international level, the association <\/span>2014<\/b> <\/span>JERUSALEM WAY International Peace Team e.V. <\/span><\/b>was founded.<\/p>\n Founding members:<\/b> <\/span>Johannes Aschauer (Founder and Chairman), Otto Kl\u00e4r (Vice Chairman), David Zwilling (Treasurer), Karin Forster (Secretary), Karl Moharitsch (Deputy Treasurer).<\/p>\n The founding members remain connected to the Jerusalem Way today and support the international development of the project.<\/p>\n The association now connects people and institutions from many countries and works along the route with municipalities, universities, religious institutions, NGOs, and cultural organizations. In addition, partnerships are being developed in other regions. <\/p>\n The Jerusalem Way association has its headquarters in <\/span>Linz<\/b> <\/span>\u2013 which has officially held the title “City of Peace<\/b>” since 1986.<\/p>\n Linz is thus \u2013 alongside Jerusalem \u2013 the only “City of Peace” along the entire Jerusalem Way. <\/span>Link to City of Peace<\/a><\/p>\n The association includes members from various countries as well as numerous supporting individuals and organizations who contribute to the international dissemination and development of the Jerusalem Way.<\/p>\nFounding of the Association (2014)<\/h4>\n
