From Philippi we followed the ways of the apostle Paul.

Who was this person named Paul, who in ancient Neapolis, on the way to Philippi, first set foot on European soil? sat? This persecutor who was chasing Christians with his sword on his tongue until he experienced such a shattering experience - not a vision but an appearance of Jesus - that forced him to pause.

How tremendous this shock must have been that he, the radical Jew from Tarsus, was totally changing, going about as a preacher and becoming apostle to the people. With ardent passion, he was now a preacher of the new teaching, was a rock for his followers who was ready to die for his conviction and was eventually executed.

Paul was beheaded by the sword, his head fell to the ground in Rome, but his words, teachings, thoughts, and letters were already anchored in the minds of men and began to spread. They contributed to the teaching of Christ becoming the foundation in Europe.

His work and teaching have helped the message of Jesus to break through. However, it should still be a good 300 years before the sect that emerged from Judaism was officially declared the Roman state religion.
