Description

Although the stage town of Santiago de Compostela is “only” a very worth seeing stage place for us, Santiago de Compostela is considered to be “the destination of their dreams” for many pilgrims - they have sweated and suffered in the past weeks and months to reach Santiago, and we will see many happy faces in Santiago. For the Jerusalem Way, Santiago de Compostela is a highlight early on on the way, but many more highlights will follow until Jerusalem is reached. Soon on today's stage we will get an insight into the basin of Santiago, the city and the symbol of the city, the cathedral, in which the final resting place of the apostle James lies. We haven't hiked far yet, but Santiago de Compostela is worth a rest day to enjoy the many sights and the atmosphere.
