Description

Today we hike again on both sides of the Inn, but then we will leave it towards the end of the stage. We start on the right side of the Inn, cross the Zillertal and then also cross the Ziller on the eastern edge. At the foot of the “Reither Kogel” we come to Brixlegg and Rattenberg, where we first cross the Inn and then the Brandenberger Ache coming from the north, which flows into the Inn shortly afterwards. From there we follow the Inn and come over two hills, first over the Paisslberg and then back down to Breitenbach am Inn, then the second ascent to Berg and Glatzham follows. After descending again to the Inn, we cross it one last time, say goodbye and come to the “Brixentaler Ache” via Wörgl, which we follow to the stage location Bruckhäusl. The Inn then turns northwards and flows to Germany at Kufstein, where it reaches Passau via Rosenheim, Wasserburg and Braunau, where it flows into the Danube, then turns south and thus reaches Austria again on both banks. On the Jerusalem Way, we will only come close to this body of water in a few days at Sankt Pantaleon, then to the Danube.
