Today we go from Mauthausen via Naarn to Arbing. From the promenade in Mauthausen the path leads us northwards up to the church where we find a pilgrim's stamp (in the entrance area) in the church! Then we get down to the village via another church staircase, walk along the beautiful promenade, then cross the Danube Federal Road No. 3 and follow the left / north bank of the Danube downstream again, as we did the day before, and pass the Danube bridge above us. We follow the bike path R1, cross the Aist bridge, then turn right to reach the port and campsite of Au / Donau a little later. Here we have catering and possibly accommodation options. After a pause, we follow the stairway along the Danube and then branch off left through a forest area and then come to Brandl Lacke, a very small lake. At the end of the varnish, follow the path to the left, cross the dam and later reach the local area of Naarn via the parish path. At the end of the village, we branch off to the right, via the village of Pratztrum and the R975 bike path on a gravel road to the canal along the Naarn river. Here we also find bathing facilities and fire pits / camping facilities downstream. We follow the Naarn, cross a small bridge to the left bank and from now on follow the asphalt road to the junction on the left in a forest. We finally reach Arbing via forest and field paths. The imposing “fortified church” standing on a hill is clearly recognizable from afar.

Shortly after entering Arbing we reach the Donaubundesstraße and cross it (caution!). Then we see a petrol station on the left, there is a small supermarket with a coffee house and a pizzeria. The path then leads us to the church staircase and up to the daily destination, the church dedicated to the parish patron "John the Baptist".

The small town of ARBING is of particular importance for the Jerusalem Path, the international peace and culture path was founded and initiated here in 2010 (June 24, 2010).
