On today's stage in the Isère department, we hike again in a north-easterly direction, so we head towards Aix-Les-Bains, Annecy and Geneva. To our left, i.e. in a north-westerly direction, lies the metropolis of Lyon, 50 km from us, a city that we as pilgrims can confidently "ignore". Le Pin is a small place and Les Abrets is a bit bigger, but neither place offers an abundance of attractions. In Valencogne, on the other hand, a somewhat larger town along the way, it is worth visiting the Église Saint-Jean l´Evangeliste. Since the stage is also relatively short, we can also take a longer break for refreshments here and visit the place in more detail.
