Description

On today's stage we stay in the Lot department and initially move northwards from the Lot on a limestone plateau, but later turn more towards the west and come closer to the Lot again. At La Croix Blanche we will be able to enjoy a beautiful view of the Lot and its valley. Today we walk over the barren plateau of the Quercy, which is unsuitable for agriculture with its areas. on the other hand, migrating flocks of sheep can still live on the flora that is still growing, so we may come across some flocks of sheep. Shortly before the stage, we come over the «Cingle Haut» hill, from which we have a beautiful view of Figeac. Figeac is located on the Le Célé stream, a northern tributary of the Lot, which flows into it shortly before Cahors. Figeac is a pleasant, lively city and is therefore also suitable for a day of rest. The numerous Gothic town houses and city palaces are picturesque.
