JERUSALEM WAY: key messages of this international peace project!
Every journey begins with a first step...
The Jerusalem Way - The world's longest path of peace and pilgrimage! This international cultural route runs from Spain through Europe and Asia to Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Way is a hands-on project with a strong sign of tolerance and acceptance to build bridges between different religions, cultures and peoples. As an international path of peace and culture, it leads from the end of the Way of St. James (Finisterra / Santiago de Compostela, SP) through the heart of Europe to Jerusalem. 15 countries and the continents Europe and Asia are connected with the Holy Land over a distance of about 7500 km.
The Jerusalem Way combines religions and cultures in a unique peace project.
The Jerusalem Way stands for mutual recognition and tolerance.
The values and visions of this peace project are conveyed through the book On the Jerusalem Way (available in English and German), international film lectures and exhibitions and the website www.jerusalemway.org mediated.
Pilgrims create openness to encounters, dismantle prejudices and fears and strengthen trust -
the basic trust! The supposed boundaries between peoples and religions can be bridged by individuals with love and mutual respect.
THERE IS ONLY ONE RELIGION - THE RELIGION OF LOVE! GOD IS LOVE
"Love, the strongest force in the universe, penetrates and illuminates everything and builds bridges between all people!"
And let us remember, a pilgrimage is not only a spiritual experience but also the most ecological way to travel! Environmental protection and gentle tourism are in harmony.
