Every journey begins with a first step ...

The Jerusalem Way is the world's longest pilgrimage and international peace and culture route!

The Jerusalem Way connects religions and peoples in a unique peace project.

The Jerusalem Way stands for mutual recognition and tolerance.

Love, the most powerful force in the universe, penetrates, illuminates everything and builds bridges between all people!

Pilgrims create openness to encounters, dismantle prejudices and fears and strengthen trust - basic trust! The supposed boundaries between peoples and religions can be bridged by individuals with love and mutual respect.

LECTURE INFO

The live moderated FILM LECTURE was created from 15.000 photos and 20 hours of film material in collaboration with an ORF employee. The deliberately meditative film presentation is presented on a large screen in HD quality (optionally 8 or 6 meters wide, 16: 9 format) with sound in Dolby Surround on 6 loudspeakers. Duration about 2 hours, in between break at the Dardanelles on the border of Europe with Asia.

Among other things, you can see the entire “Balkan route”, the route 1.700 km across Turkey and across Syria from north to south, as it was there shortly before the start of the war in 2010. We were able to record some cultural assets, some of which are now completely destroyed, including the Lord's Prayer, prayed by a woman in Aramaic!

The Jerusalem Way follows historical paths as well as new paths, including the traces of the Third Crusade and the paths of the Apostle Paul, as well as important stages in the life of Mother Teresa in the Balkans. Historically, for example, the blackbird field in Kosovo, where the decisive battle between the Serbs and the Ottomans took place in 1389; Ephesus as the most important archaeological site in Asia Minor; Iconium in the Taurus Mountains, where in 1190 the army of the Third Crusade under Emperor Friedrich I "Barbarossa" was almost completely wiped out; the Trojan War, where Achilles died and the world-famous Trojan horse stands; four of the seven Christian communities from the Revelation of John / Apocalypse; Antioch on the Orontes with probably the oldest Christian church; etc. There are also several apostles' tombs, a variety of important historical places and UNESCO World Heritage Sites on the way to the Holy Land.

Some of the feelings and emotions of the previous lectures in front of 30.000 people in AT / DE / CH are in Guestbook online read online.  YouTube are several video clips, more videos are in the menu Bonus material accessible.
