PREMIERE: Guided pilgrimage journeys on the whole JERUSALEM WAY!
Pilgrimage journeys on foot and by bus from Spain to Jerusalem
As of 2017 there are guided pilgrimage journeys for the first time covering the whole Jerusalem Way from Spain to Israel / Palestine. The route leads from “the end of the world through the heart of Europe to the beginning in Jerusalem” and connects 15 countries and the continents of Europe and Asia with the Holy Land.
At the same time, this path is the longest peace trail with a length of about 7,500 kilometers (4,660 miles). One of its core messages remains: “What separates religions and peoples, only people can reunite through love!” It is a hand-joining project that stands for tolerance and acceptance, and builds bridges between cultures and religions.
For the guided pilgrimage journeys, the 15 countries were divided into seven individual stages, which can be booked independently and will be led by Jerusalem pilgrims in cooperation with local tour guides.
Part I: Spain to France
Part II: France to Switzerland
Part III: Switzerland and Austria
Part IV: Balkans
Part V: Turkey / Asia Minor
Part VI: Syria
Part VII: Jordan / Israel / Palestine (Holy Land)
In a well-balanced combination of hiking (10–15 km [6.2–9.3 mi] / max. 20 km [12.4 mi] per day) and bus travel, there is a unique opportunity to personally experience all the high points of the entire trail from Spain all the way to the Holy Land. The trip lasts 10 to 13 days respectively. The path leads the participants towards the east, towards the sunrise – symbolically towards life – and goes step by step on the way to the most important pilgrimage site of Christianity: Jerusalem – the intersection point of religions!
Since 2015 several pilgrim journeys on the Jerusalem Way in Spain, France, the Balkans, Turkey, Jordan, Israel and Palestine have been successfully conducted in cooperation with travel agencies. Impressions of these journeys can be found in the respective photo diary. Here you will find the «actual travel brochure for 2018»
