Every journey begins with a first step ...

The Jerusalem Way is the world's longest pilgrimage and peace route!

The Jerusalem Way connects religions and peoples in a unique peace project.

The Jerusalem Way stands for mutual recognition and tolerance.

Love, the most powerful force in the universe, penetrates, illuminates everything and builds bridges between all people!

Pilgrims create openness to encounters, dismantle prejudices and fears, and strengthen trust - basic trust. The supposed boundaries between peoples and religions can be bridged by individuals with love and mutual respect.

Longest peace path and pilgrimage route!

The JERUSALEM WAY is the longest peace route as well as the longest pilgrimage route in the world and was founded in 2006 from a Vision emerged.

As an international cultural route, the path leads from the end of Europe in Finisterre to the beginning in Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the most important place for Christians and Jews, a holy place for Muslims and is considered the intersection point of the world's religions.

As a pilgrim of peace, a pilgrim of hope (Peregrinantes in Spem), he breaks down his own prejudices and builds bridges to people, doing peace work at the grassroots level for the human family. The pilgrim passes through ... (click on the blue bar to continue reading)

On the long journey to Jerusalem, the pilgrim passes through countries of all three monotheistic religions and a wide variety of cultures and is, in the truest sense of the word, a stranger in a foreign land (Peregrinus). The pilgrim experiences great hospitality, be it in the countries of the Balkans, in Turkey, in Jordan or in Palestine & Israel.

Even though we are still a long way from it, the holy site of Jerusalem stands for hope for peaceful coexistence within the human family. The Jerusalem Way brings together different religions, nations and cultures in an extraordinary peace project and stands for mutual recognition, tolerance and appreciation of different ways of life.

Paulo Coelho is enthusiastic about the Jerusalem Way

In 2013, Jerusalem pilgrims and the literary star met in a small Spanish village. What an incredible, wonderful coincidence: The Way of St. James meets the Way of Jerusalem!

Writer Coelho was enthusiastic and recognized the dimension of the Jerusalem Way as an international peace project. Jerusalem is the Gordian knot for world peace. Every single pilgrim makes an important contribution. What supposedly divides religions and peoples, individual people can reconnect with respect and care. See tweet from Coelho
