Urnäsch – Eggerstanden
From Urnäsch, the Jerusalem Way leads over the Lauftegg into the Appenzellerland. Pastures, farms, forests, and the distinctive pre-Alpine peaks accompany the route. At Jakobsbad, a monastery recalls the region’s religious tradition. The route then continues through Appenzell Innerrhoden to Eggerstanden. This stage combines intense landscape impressions with one of Switzerland’s most distinctive cultural landscapes.
