Romont – Fribourg
From Romont, the Jerusalem Way first passes the Cistercian abbey of Fille-Dieu. Fields, forests, and small villages, including Posat, then alternate. The long stage ends in Fribourg, whose historic old town sits impressively above the Saane River. The cathedral, bridges, and multilingual culture make the city a significant waypoint between western and German-speaking Switzerland.
