Pamplona – Zubiri
The Jerusalem Way leaves Pamplona through the historic Frankentor and initially follows the city wall and the valley of the Río Arga. Via Burlada, Villava and smaller villages in the Basque-influenced part of Navarre, the route gradually leads into a greener, more mountainous landscape. The river remains a companion for long stretches before reaching Zubiri with its medieval bridge. The stage forms a gentle transition from the lively regional capital into the quieter foothills of the Pyrenees.
