Ostabat – Aroue
From Ostabat, the path leads through the hilly Basque foothills via Harambeltz and the Chapel of Saint-Nicolas. Near Soyarza, wide views open up across the landscape before the route reaches the Croix de Gibraltar, a significant historical crossing point of the Camino de Santiago routes. Afterward, it becomes more rural and quieter; pastures, small farmsteads, and wooded sections accompany the path to Aroue. The stage still clearly preserves the atmosphere of the French Camino, while JerusalemWay pilgrims continue eastward.
