O Empalme – Rivadiso

From O Empalme, the route leads through forests, meadows and small Galician villages to Arzúa and on to Rivadiso. In the Arzúa area, the Camino del Norte coming from northern Spain meets the Camino Francés. As a result, the flow of pilgrims towards Santiago increases noticeably, while JerusalemWay pilgrims continue heading east. After Arzúa it becomes quieter again, and the short stage ends in the green valley of the Río Iso. The many pilgrims coming towards you make the JerusalemWay’s special direction particularly tangible here.
