Nájera – Logroño

From Nájera, the Jerusalem Way first climbs up to the Alto de San Antón, which offers a wide view back to the former royal city. The route then runs through vineyards and the valley of cairns, well known among pilgrims, to Navarrete. The parish church of Asunción de María and the sweeping views over La Rioja invite you to take a break. Before reaching the destination, you come to the La Grajera reservoir; the path then leads into the region’s capital. Logroño lies on the Ebro and combines pilgrim tradition, wine culture and the life of a modern Spanish city; worth seeing are the old town and the Co-Cathedral of Santa María de la Redonda.
