Le Falzet – Saint-Privat-d’Allier

From Le Falzet, the Jerusalem Way leads through Saugues across the varied landscape of the Margeride. The route then descends steeply into the Allier gorge to Monistrol-d’Allier. On the opposite side follows a vigorous climb back up; the chapel of Rochegude offers an impressive view over the valley. Saint-Privat-d’Allier is reached after a long and physically demanding day. This stage is one of the most scenic, but requires good fitness.
