Innsbruck – Terfens
Today, for a change, we spend our pilgrimage day on the left side of the Inn, where the path initially leads us through a series of villages in the valley floor—villages with unusual, short names like Arzl, Rum, Thaur, or Absam. After Absam, an ascent to Larchberg begins, from where we can enjoy an impressive panorama of the Inn Valley, the Olympic city of Innsbruck, and the Tyrolean Alps, weather permitting. Up there, we hike from the Waldkapelle via St. Martin to St. Michael, and from there through the Larchthal to the pilgrimage church of Maria Larch above Terfens.
