Fribourg – Schwarzenburg

From Fribourg, the route leads through the historic lower town to the Sarine and on via Tafers towards the Sense. Chapels, villages and farmland shape the first part. The impressive Sense Gorge is a scenic highlight and at the same time the transition into the Canton of Bern. Afterwards, the route climbs up to Schwarzenburg. The stage links language and cultural regions as well as town and wild river landscape.
