Castrojeriz – Hornillos del Camino

After leaving Castrojeriz, the Jerusalem Way leads through the sparse beauty of the Meseta. The ruins of the Monastery of San Antón, located directly along the path, recall the medieval care of pilgrims. The route continues through Hontanas, which lies almost hidden in a hollow, and the quiet village of San Bol, before reaching Hornillos del Camino. The stage is not particularly long, but it impressively conveys the vastness, simplicity, and silence of this classic pilgrimage landscape.
