Brunnen – Einsiedeln

From Brunnen, the Jerusalem Way leads via Schwyz into the mountain landscape between the Mythen peaks. The climb to Haggenegg at around 1,400 meters is the physical focus of this stage. Forests, alpine pastures, and wide views accompany the crossing before the path descends to Einsiedeln. The significant Benedictine monastery with the Black Madonna is one of Europe’s major pilgrimage sites and forms a spiritual highlight of the Swiss route.
