>>> Walking together – across borders, towards peace <<

Love is the strongest force in the universe – it permeates and connects everything and builds bridges between all people. Pilgrimage creates openness for encounters, breaks down prejudices and fears, and strengthens trust – fundamental trust. In this way, supposed boundaries between peoples and religions can be Love and mutual respect be overcome.

Press release: >>> Jerusalem Way is international understanding in practice <<

The photo gallery and traveling exhibition is a visible tool for interculturality, European networking, and civic participation. A celebratory exhibition at the European Parliament in Brussels marked the launch of the international Jerusalem Way photo gallery and traveling exhibition. This visually striking exhibition brings the peace and pilgrimage spirit of the Jerusalem Way into the public space – visibly, mobile, and across borders. It features authentic photographs from over 15 countries along the route – from Spain to Jerusalem – and conveys lived interculturality, human encounters, and spiritual depth.

Visibility & Networking:
The exhibition is conceived as a Europe-wide traveling exhibition. Following its launch in Brussels, presentations will be held in cities, educational institutions, and cultural institutions along the Jerusalem Way. It will be implemented locally with partner organizations, thus actively fostering networks between communities, civil society initiatives, religious institutions, and educational stakeholders. Modular, multilingual, and adaptable, it will provide visibility for European peace projects in public spaces, a platform for cooperation, encounters, and exchange.
Intercultural Exchange: The exhibition documents, with powerful images, the lived intercultural and interreligious dialogue along the Jerusalem Way. It showcases people, rituals, places, and situations that visualize cultural diversity and peaceful coexistence. Supporting events (lectures, film evenings, discussions) deepen the exchange and strengthen the role of culture as a bridge-builder in Europe.
Youth Involvement: Within the framework of the exhibition, it is planned to develop targeted educational programs for young people and students: School tours, workshops & project work with a focus on peace, human rights, sustainability Cooperation with youth organizations, schools and universities Participation of young people in planning, moderation and content design
And finally ... With the photo gallery/traveling exhibition, the Jerusalem Way establishes a dynamic, visible, and participatory cultural practice that promotes the core values of the Council of Europe: peace, diversity, tolerance, and a common European heritage. The exhibition grows along the route—through contributions from local contexts, new locations, and joint events—and thus becomes part of a vibrant, evolving European cultural project.
