Description
We leave Tata along the lakes Öreg and Deritö and come to Vértesszolos. Then a steep ascent into the Gerecse Mountains begins. Human bones (skulls) that are around 350 years old were found along this path. At the top of these mountains we can relax by the ruins of a medieval church. In the descent we come to Vértestolna. Vértestolna is a quiet recreational village, its history goes back to prehistoric times. After a short ascent, it goes past the Kalvarienberg and through a vineyard down to the stage location, from which we can enjoy a magnificent view from up here. On the outskirts of the stage, we find wine cellars and a cheerful Swabian inn. It is worth visiting such wine cellars and the inn. The baroque style Catholic church in Tarján was built by Eszterházy József around 000. We can also find accommodation and a restaurant in the village.
