General information about the pilgrimages
Fitness & Equipment: Easy hikes for sure-footed pilgrims with average fitness. Hiking times spread over the day are about 4 to 6 hours / about 15 to 20 km. The route takes us through easy to moderately difficult terrain, any ascents have a maximum of 300 to 500 meters in altitude in one piece and sufficient breaks are planned. We hike with a light daypack on hiking, forest and field paths, gravel roads and partly asphalt. A minibus transports our main luggage.
The Club JERUSALEM WAY International Peace Team assumes no liability, the organizer and the pilgrim escort are also not liable for any damage or accidents. Participation is your own responsibility. Finally, we would like to point out that all pilgrims must be in reasonable physical and mental condition.
The daily flat fee for trips within Austria is € 25 (for trips abroad, the amount is determined and announced). The daily fee includes the complete organization and pilgrimage accompaniment; daily transport of the main luggage by minibus to and from the accommodations; Tip for driver; as well as a ride in the minibus if someone needs a break or does not want to walk a bit for personal reasons.
When traveling, we organize regionally inexpensive accommodations as far as possible. Be it a guest house, farm holiday, monastery, educational center, inn, hotel, guesthouse, hostel, ...
Costs for accommodation & meals as well as for trips by public transport are to be borne on site. When traveling together in a minibus, the kilometer costs are shared among the participants.
Room: double or single room including breakfast! Dinner in the accommodation or nearby. In principle, a sleeping bag is not required! If we ever need a sleeping bag on a trip, we will state this in the trip description. The number of participants is determined for each trip and is between 8 and a maximum of 20 people.

Background to the Jerusalem Way: The Jerusalem Way leads from Europe towards the east, towards sunrise - symbolically towards life. The route network of the Jerusalem Way is similar to a river system, it connects various ways and routes on the way to the east and has been expanding steadily since its foundation (2010) - currently 18 countries and 2 continents are connected!
