Every journey begins with a first step ...

The Jerusalem Way is the world's longest pilgrimage and peace route!

The Jerusalem Way connects religions and peoples in a unique peace project.

The Jerusalem Way stands for mutual recognition and tolerance.

Love, the most powerful force in the universe, penetrates, illuminates everything and builds bridges between all people!

Pilgrims create openness to encounters, dismantle prejudices and fears, and strengthen trust - basic trust. The supposed boundaries between peoples and religions can be bridged by individuals with love and mutual respect.

Every becoming in nature, in people, in love

must wait, be patient, until its time to bloom.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Out and about on the Jerusalem Way, the world's longest pilgrimage through all of Austria!

Pilgrimage is very much in vogue and is not only a lasting balance for body, mind and soul in the current Corona crisis.

A group of 20 pilgrims with participants from Germany, Vorarlberg, Szbg, Upper Austria, Lower Austria, Vienna and Burgenland was on the Peace and Culture Trail from the Arlberg to Lake Neusiedl (about 800 km). The daily stages were about 20 km on foot and the rest was covered in the sense of ecological travel, by train or minibus. The pilgrims also reached the district of Perg and Arbing on September 03rd, 2020! The pilgrimage was characterized by many nice encounters with people along the route and good conversations between the pilgrims as well as spiritual impulses.

The Jerusalemweg (JW) not only leads through the center of Arbing, but was initiated here more than ten years ago, precisely on the parish patronage (June 24, 2010)! Among the pilgrims were Johannes Aschauer (initiator and trained pilgrim companion) and his partner Karin Forster, four other pilgrims from Arbing along the way: Marianne & Anton Baumgartner from Groißing and Ingrid & Heinrich Aschauer from Puchberg. Heinrich and Toni took over the luggage transport / shuttle service and went into their role to the fullest satisfaction.

Because Heinrich and Ingrid's house is right on Jerusalem Way, all pilgrims were invited to a hearty breakfast there, almost in passing. Well strengthened, the group reached Clam and Grein Castle and, as the “highlight of the day”, the Nadlingerhof, high above the Danube in Neustadtl. There is the Jerusalem Path of Peace Dove! The next one is at Melk Abbey and another in Spitz. The end of the day and overnight stay was in the Artstetten castle inn, where the pilgrims, as in Arbing, among others, received a pilgrim's stamp with a dove of peace in their passports.

Note: Further lists of doves of peace are fixed for April 2021 in the city of Donauwörth and 2022 in the Waldsassen monastery (Germany). And a continuation of the above pilgrimage is planned! Depending on the possibilities of the Corona crisis, these are the section Switzerland - Vorarlberg and Austria - Greece. And with a travel agency, we will go back to the Holy Land in spring 2022. Background to the Jerusalem Way

The Jerusalem Way brings different religions, nations and cultures together in an extraordinary peace project and stands for mutual recognition, tolerance and appreciation of the different ways of life. Jerusalem is the most important place for Christians and Jews, a holy place for Muslims and is considered the intersection of world religions! The Jerusalem pilgrim reaches, among other things, many significant historical places, several graves of the Apostles and numerous UNESCO World Heritage sites on the long way to Jerusalem.

The route network of the Jerusalem Way is similar to a river system, it connects various paths and routes on the way to the east. The Jerusalem Way has been expanding steadily since its foundation (2010) - 18 countries and 2 continents are currently connected!
